Made by hand. Worn to Pilates.
Jill wanted her plain Pilates outfit to have a little flair. One satin bow and one compliment later, Jilly Socks began.
Hear it from Jill.
Two minutes, one pop-up table, and the story of how a bow on a plain grip sock turned into Jilly Socks.
It started with plain socks.
Jill takes Pilates three to four times a week. Her outfit was always the same: simple, comfortable, plain. She wanted something that felt like her, so she added a bow to her grip socks and wore them to class.
Someone looked down and said, "Oh my gosh, those are so cute." That was all it took. Jill started making more, and the first batch sold out.
She still makes every pair herself, in lace, satin, polka dots and stripes. And she still gets the same small thrill each time one is finished. In her words: "Every time I make one, I'm like, this is so cute."
"My bows are my little bit of flair."
How a pair gets made
01
The grip
A snug knit sock with silicone grips across the whole sole: hearts, hexagons or circles, depending on the design.
02
The bow
Lace, satin, polka dots and stripes. Jill chooses every ribbon and finishes each bow by hand.
03
The band
Every pair is checked, banded and packed by hand in the USA.
From Jill's table to your mat.
Jilly Socks grew at studio pop-ups, where people could pick up a pair and choose their bow. Now that same pair ships to your door, wherever you take class.
"So comfy, so stylish, and they honestly make any outfit feel complete."
